Piñon Valley Neighborhood Association – Who We Are
Location
The Piñon Valley Neighborhood Association (PVNA) was incorporated in 1984 and represents homes within the following northwestern boundary area of Colorado Springs:
- South: Piñon Valley Road
- North: Rockrimmon Boulevard
- West: Centennial Boulevard
- East: Bluffs of Ute Valley Park
Mission
The mission of the association is to "promote and protect the interests of the homeowners in Piñon Valley and to protect the present and future property values of the properties located therein."
Accomplishments
- Convinced Colorado Springs Utilities to move a proposed power station from the current Piñon Valley Park site to a site off Centennial Boulevard and 30th Street in the late 1980’s.
- Opposed a 14.3 acre commercial site on Centennial Boulevard at Mule Deer Drive (with Mountain Shadows)
- Defeated construction of a billboard by Lamar Signs on Centennial north of Piñon Valley Road (with Mountain Shadows)
- Major playground improvements and donation of a park bench at Piñon Valley Park
- Worked with City to ensure better home developments and construction within Piñon Valley
- Worked with the City to landscape the Centennial median (with Mountain Shadows)
- Our board members have participated on various on City boards and commissions
- Sponsored picnics and Jazz in the Park events at Piñon Valley Park for more than 16 years
Become a Member
Membership is open to any resident living in the Piñon Valley area and any business owner interested in serving Piñon Valley residents. Membership is $25.00 per year. Membership benefits include Jazz in the Park concerts, the PVNA annual picnic, the PVNA newsletter, and representation in various areas, including local government and zoning interests.
